A flannel baby blanket

It took me only an hour and a half to make the baby blanket. I could not believe that, and I had never believed that I would be able to make anything like that in such a short time. Actually, I thought that I would rather skip the party. We had arranged it three weeks before, but I hadn"t had time for hand-made presents. My sister only accepts such gifts, and I was afraid that I would disappoint her. But then one of my friends advised me to make a flannel baby blanket. I was really surprised to hear that. A flannel blanket? But when she showed me some examples, I really liked them. Such blankets are great for summer weather or when the family is going on a trip. It"s a perfect shower gift. What"s more, it"s really simple to make one! The friend I am talking about likes knitting and crocheting, and she also makes things out of flannel. She gave me some fabric pieces and explained how to saw them together, how to leave space so that the baby blanket would finally be the right size, and how to press it. I wrapped the blanket in colourful paper and gave it to my sister and her baby boy at the party. They really liked it, and my nephew found the blanket extremely comfortable. I can"t believe that I was thinking of skipping the party!
