Clothes ornamented with gold bullion fringe

I went to a fancy dress part on the New Year"s Eve. I was dressed up as Marie Antoinette and I really liked the disguise. I had been working on it for weeks. I spent the evening talking to the guests and observing some of them secretly. There was a young woman in an interesting disguise. She was wearing a colourful headdress, a skirt ornamented with something what looked like gold bullion fringe and a pair of brown leather sandals. I think it was a really original disguise and it suited her dark carnation. Perhaps she was dressed up as an important Native American figure? I never had the occasion to ask her because she left the party quite early. There were some other people who looked really interesting. I met an Einstein and even a Saint Joan of Arc who was carrying an authentic sword from the 15th century. She was in fact a historian who was writing a biography of Joan of Arc. But I must definitely say that I liked the Native American costume with the gold bullion fringe best. I asked a friend who the woman was. She said it was an old friend of hers. They used to go to school together, and then met again after several years. I left the party at about four in the morning. Today I must say that it was one of the best parties I have ever been to. This year, I"m going to organise a fancy dress party myself!
