I"m attending a driving course at a small school in our town. At this school we have a special class every week. During this lesson we can practice theory test. Our instructor is a man in his late thirties. He"s a real expert, he can convey knowledge well and he always gives detailed answers to our questions. The theory class in divided into several parts. We are given some mock theory tests first. We have to study them in pairs or small groups. Our task is to discuss the options, choose the best answers and prove they are correct. The next part is class discussion. We go through the questions one by one with our instructor. He asks each pair or group what their answers are. This part can be quite time-consuming, there are always several digressions and we often discuss additional examples so that everybody can understand the rules. The last part is more individual work. It"s an excellent opportunity not only to practice theory test, but also to check if you have made any progress. The instructor gives us sheets with mock exams, each for one person. The questions are not necessarily connected with the topic of the class. After a quarter or so, each person is given a key to their test. In this way, we can asses our own knowledge every week.
